Knackered Head

Can anyone tell me how to check if the head is on the way out as i've just bought my surf and have read that this is a common fault. Is there anything else worth checking?

Any advice welcome.

The only way that I know is to have it preasure tested.
Had my head go just before x-mas no ovious signs till the
water just flowed out of the expantion tank ran it for a
while after that just kept some water with me till I got the
haed done brilliant since then.

Well theres a misleading title for ya. If yours is in warranty then you could flush the rad along with a cleaning agent, it should expel any rad weld quick fix a PO might have used to hide trouble. Then have it pressure tested.

Otherwise if theres no warranty, just flush the rad anyway with clean water, add new coolant, and dont be worrying bout things that might never happen!
