Kickdown cable query.

I have this for a ECT (electronic) auto tranny on a V6 petrol motor.......

1/ Remove air cleaner asesmbly.
2/Push the accelerator to the floor and check that the throttle plate opens fully, if not adjust the accelerator linkage so it does.
3/Push back the rubber boot from the throttle cable which runs down to the tranny, loosen the throttle cable adjustment nuts so that the cable housing can be adjusted.
4/ Fully open the throttle by having an assistant press the accelerator all the way to the floor.
5/adjust the cable housing so that, with the throttle wide open, the distance between the end of the rubber boot and the cable stopper is 0-0.04in (0-1mm)
6/ tighten nuts and check again. replace boot and air cleaner.

You have to decide if any of this matches your setup.
