when are T-belts due to be changed

I am picking up my surf next week which is to be serviced b4. It is said to have done 59K miles. I am I right in thinking a belt change is due at 60K? as have not had a good look around a surf bay yet, how can I quickly check this has been done and what else should I be checking other than filter/oil/air filter?

Ask for the old belt as a spare

You may be able to tell if the bolts have been undone and then done up again by them having marks on them. Just because it has a 'new belt' sticker does not mean it has a new belt!

Do you trust them ? The best way to know is to do it yourself .Its a major arse kicking if it goes .Peace of mind for the price of the belt & the time to do it
