Help!! I know that I only come here when I need dome help but you guys have been so nice before. The drivers door window stopped working when the indow was down. I have managed to get the motor out and the window bak up but was wondering if anyone knows if the motor for the windows is special or is it a standard motor on all toyota's? If I can get one from a scrappy what other Toyota's would have my motor?

    Thanks for reading this

Iv'e seen plenty of threads that say a Toyota Corolla rear door window motor is the same as the Surf tailgate window motor so there is a good chance that other Toyota motors will fit. If you have the motor out why not take it to a scrappy and for comparison and see what they come up with.

Is it definately the motor thats gone? Quite often the control wires in in the door hinge joint fail first due to fatigue. See if the motor works off another 12V source.
