Hi guys,Just thought i'd mention this,A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with my heater matrix on my surf which is a 1996 ssrg gen3, the rad exploded and made hell of a mess inside the surf,managed to get a local garage to remove the dash and found that it had split like a virgin and could not be repaired as it wasn't a flanged rad type and had to buy a new one 
. Unfortunatley the only place I could get a new one from was toyota for a price of £271 inc vat 
,I then had one more try before parting with my hard earned cash with toyota and went to the local radiator repair place and they matched the rad with a new vauxhall corsa one (AMAZING) which was a perfect match in shape and size and the price was......£45 quid all in.. 
,so if anyone else has a similar problem on a gen 3 this is the heater matrix part for you.Andy.
