  • Hilux Wheel Arch Extensions... any experiance?

Just purchased a 1991 model SSR, great car.

The only damage to this otherwise perfect car is a small ding in the rear passenger side wheel arch that was repaired fairly well by the original Japanese owner.

However it is still noticeable, and annoys me!

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the aftermarket wheel arch extenders that you can get, as this would cover the problem and could add something to the look of the car.

I am normally weary of bolt-ons, wonder if anybody had any advice?

    Thanks

    B

Looks like i will be getting my surf :-)
It is a narrow body SSR-X.
I would like ANY advice on wheel arch extensions
    prices,
    fitting problems if any,
where I can get hold of them,
    general info on wheel arch extensions to make it look like a SSR-g wide body [ i take it the archs are all that is different between a wide and narrow body }
    Thanks in advance

if you do get wider tyres and spacers to fill em out or it will look pants, just my opinion having seen one with narrow wheels and the extensions on.

What Nigel (Koi) says is very true I passed a 2nd gen in Lisburn once and it nearly turned me right off surfs, it had wide arches, wide mudflaps, wide window deflectors and narrow little ole tyres. It looked like a Vauxhall Viva.

And the real reason I want to post on this thread is to say 'AT LAST' someone else who has just the plain basic SSR like meself, a '91 too

My personal favorite are the Black and Chrome modular steels like these.

I also think that Bushwacker arches look good.
