  • Immobilizer

Hello everyone, new user relocated to Suffolk with a '92 Hilux surf. Insurance Co. need info on Immobilizer. Is it standard for this model/year? If so, how can I locate it? Some info would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

I would say that the car would not have an immobilizer as
standard, only if fitted as an after market option by the previous
    owner.
Have my truck insured with Tesco they did not require an
immobilizer or alarm on anything over 10 years of age.
Been with them for over 3 years can not find anyone better
    for my needs.

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe it might be more inexpensive to pay the additional premium!

Don't forget you pay only once for the immobiliser you pay your insurance every year!

Plus there is a bit of peace of mind knowing it is harder for someone to deprive you of your "Grin factor"

If you really don't care do what I did until I had the cash to have an immobiliser fitted and Insure it Third party only
Not much change in the insurance price but a big difference if it was nicked!!
