....thought the rear wheel bearing sounded a bit rumbly! Three of the eight balls shattered!
Anyway wheel bearing now replaced- without recourse to using the services of garage this time. Bearing retainer and bearing center cut off with Dremel (tip- to save time do a half cut, then use a screwdriver and hammer to crack them off). New bearing pressed back in with big 8" vice (tip- use remains of old bearing outer as a press tool).
