  • Someone reversed into my Surf!!!! :( Help!

    Hi all

This morning I parked up, went into the job and get a bite to eat before I went to an interview at 9am and came back to find the front of my Surf smashed in Someone has reversed into it and then driven off! No words can explain how I felt at that moment. So gutted Last thing I then wanted to do was go to an interview Still, somehow I got the job , but doesn't start till end of Jan.

I've rung a few places, Milner, local coachworks etc and can already see it's going to be quite expensive . I'm going to find out what my insurer says tomorrow.

I have a dark blue M reg 3.0 KZN130. I've just taken some photo's with the help of my son. Here they are:

I know they're not too clear but it's the best we could do in the dark

As you can see there's a fair bit of damage. Can anyone recommend anywhere to have the work done? Anyone Surf friendly for repairs? I was considering treating myself to a respray in the new year, so may also consider having this done at the same time.

    Can anyone help me

    Cheers

    Steve

I know a good cheap garage with a spray shop next door in Fleet (Jn 4a off m3)

Have had some mech stuff done on surf was v.good - and body shop resprayed a door and a rear wing on my golf for £80 - (some bugger scratched the side of it and again just drove off).

The phone no. for the garage is 01252 617006 - The guy to speak to is Aubrey - if you use him mention that "chas" gave you the number.. Aubrey will put you in touch with the body shop guys.

Thats not that bad IMHO, any half decent body shop will fix it as good as new.

Are you going though your insurance, or fix it yourself?

If you are gonna paint it anyway, I'd try getting a bonnet, bumper, grill and wing and have a go, you may need to massage the headlight panel a little to get everything lined up, but you won't see it once the front end is rebuilt.

              Then spray the whole car.

You may not even need a wing looking at the pics.

Thanks for your advise, hope you all had a good Christmas

Yes I will be going through my insurance, and I've managed to sort out a local bodyshop to repair and spray it up. We have agreed something so that I can also have the whole car resprayed (something I was considering anyway).

Hopefully it'll be as good as new once all said and done. Just a shame I have to make a claim and lose my excess Could've been worse I suppose.

                Cheers
