Rigging up a ps2

Has anyone rigged up their surf with a PS2 console? I have a 12 year old who'd brick hisel if I managed....

No but it should be easy, Have a look at the Argos Catalogue, they do a complete incar set up for PS2/XBox.

no have not done a ps2 but have installed a incar computer which is more complicated.
A good starting point for the bits you need is ebay,
they do 7/8 inch lcd tvs for the car which come with all the wires and fuses you need to get them running.
Next you have to decide on whether you want to have your PS2 running from an inverter up to 240 and then plug your normal plug into that or if you want to get a special 12v regulator for your car (will garanttee a constant 12v so wont blow up but surfs dont tend to have a spike problem) or you can buy an adatpter for about 12 quid that plugs into the cig lighter.

You can take all of these as far as you like, I have a leisure battery which also helps things and allows the computer to run even with the engine off.

To do it yourself will cost about 120 for the monitor and parts (not including ps2).

ps2 fit

hi there i have fitted a 7 inch flip down roof screen with built in infrared for head phones into my surf 1996 but i dont have a sun roof so was easy to run cables. if you want a inverter get down to maplin or visit their website they have got a sale on 300w for £19.99 even i cant buy them for that price if your after a roof mounted screen with built in interior light & infra red they cost aprox £240 head phones £25 a set
