Central locking(double locking)

Hi checking out my central locking and if the door is locked (turned to the right) and the key before it is removed is turned to the right again you can hear the door motors again. Is this some sort of double locking as i remember a mondeo i drove had something similar if the key was turned for a second time it activated the doublelocking.Thanks for any replies.

I believe that the 3rd Gen does have deadlocks on them. I seem to remember there being a thread asking the same question.
