Gen 3 heater control

Anyone know what's wrong with my heater Its the push button type , I'm not getting hot air out of it, I have noticed that the hot cold slider operates a small motor or that's how it sounds. If I move it from cold I can hear it operate and gets warmer, but at the mid point an indicated 25 it stops, so from 25 to max there is no movement from the motor hence no extra hot air. The question, is the slider operating a reostat if so is it knackered or am I barking up the wrong tree so to speak.

Do you get hot air if you move the direction to something like feet only or screen only? If your coolant isn't getting hot, I'd be checking the rad/pipes/thermostat...

no mater what I do no heat the pipes going into the bulkhead are hot I think it might have something to do with the internal temp sensor in the dash but don't know what the resistance measurements should be
