Hi. I have a problem with my Toyota Surf LN130 Surf. About 4 weeks ago the dashboard lights and alarm started staying on intermitantly when running and then permantly. The mech
anic who I have known for a long time checked the alternator and said it had had it. So a new one. All ok for about two weeks and then the lights etc have started coming on again and the charging rate of the alternator is only about 12 volts irrespective of engine speed. We had a look in the engine bay fuse box and noted that one of the fuses 15amp as not working properly and when pushed the engine ignition lights and alarm went off. We then changed the fuse and guess what everything ok apart from the fact that none of the ignition lights or alarm comes on prior to starting.
Sorry it.s a long message. any ideas please. could it be the fuse box the ECU unit. Anyway to check???
