Wanting to replace the original double din system with a new one, how hard is it to remove the existing unit. I know that there will be multiple types but just trying to gauge whether or not to take it to an audio guy.

Assuming it's a 2nd gen, remove lower dash and radio surround. Unbolt mounting brackets and its out.

You will need a convergor for the harness when installing ghe new unit, available from Halfords.
