  • Brake problem after body lift

    HELP!

2" body lift done yesterday. All was fine. Got in the truck today and the brake pedal is really hard to push and you have to virtually stand on it to stop. Was fine yesterday when I drove it after the work. I was careful to tease the brake lines out. Could I have crimped a line?

Now also the brake light has come on.

    Any ideas please.

    Brake warning light

My brake warning light is on
    Fluid level is good.
Handbrake works good. I can push the switch with no difference
    Just had new pads fitted.
Brake pedal is hard but works.

Anyone know what is up here?

My guess would be the exhauster (assuming you checked it's still connected to the servo), it could be from anywhere; but it'll be one of the bigger ones.

Many thanks. Had a look this morning and it was the pipe that connects to the hard line along the top of the rad. Connected back up and all working fine again

Thanks for the advice much appreciated.

It's OK Vince, I'm sure we will remember them in 6 months when the next question comes up
