  • Retro fitting a 2nd Gen sunroof?

Not sure of this is the right thread, but guess electrics will play a big part. Does anyone know how feasible it is to retro fit the proper Surf sunroof to a non-sunroof 2nd gen Surf?

Been looking for my perfect Surf for a while now after regretting selling mine a few years ago, but all the ones I like coming up are non-sunroof.

Just wondered if anyone on here had ever tried it successfully, or should I just knuckle down and search harder/longer?

Damn, a week ago I could have given you the bits!!

The sunroof is an assemble, you'll need the surround panel cut out of the roof and the drain, switches and motors...

I don't appear to have taken pics, sorry.

      Short answer, no!

There's extra roof bracing in the sunroof bodies plus drain tubes down the 'A' and 'B' pillars.

Far easier to find a Surf with one factory fitted.
