Heater fan not working on #1 or #2

Heater fan (interior) is only working on position 3 and 4.
Is this likely to be a switch or (gulp) a fan motor prob? Thanks in advance.Muzz.

There is a pack of resistors that are called in by the switch that does the fan speed, however try moving the switch back and forward a few times as it might just be dirty switch contacts. Mine was like that when I first got it (along with a lot of other switches) and they are OK now.
