glow plug help

basically ive had problems starting my 2.4TD which i have narrowed down to the glow plugs not heating, ive checked the fuse which is gone. I then started to investigate why it has gone im left with needing to know where the relay for the circuit is located and where to connect this (see picture) as im sure it is related

I would check the connections on the buzz bar first, this is the most common cause for the relay to blow.
Has it had work done on it, ie new head, plugs replaced etc?
It gets reassembled wrongly and blows the fuse.

That bit is what is connected to the buzz bar, which is connected to a stud on the intake manifold, with a nut washer and two insulators as per the above link. Do that before replacing the fuse or it will blow again, if that wiring you have in your hand shorts.

sorry to sound stupid (first surf and first diesel) the connector to the right on my picture is a temperature sensor? out of interest on my 2.4 ssrg where would the relay for glow plugs be located?

The connector is simply power. The glow plugs have two stages. Pretty sure the way it works is first stage through the main wire and second through the smaller connector. First stage voltage to glow plugs is around 10.5 volts and second is around 6.5 volts.

The glow plug relays are on inner passenger side wing.

Under bonnet between air filter and firewall.
