Underslung 2.4 rear plate bulbs

Hi folks, I've had a search but have drawn a blank. The question is on a 2.4 with the underslung spare wheel is there a special technique for getting the rear number plate bulbs out as I need to replace one of them? There are two screws on either side holding in the reversing light clusters which contain the number plate bulbs but with them removed it feels as if there is something else holding them or should I just pull a bit harder?

Once you've removed the two crosshead screws from the numberplate light fitting in the reverse light, you might need to prise the fitting out with a small screwdriver as there's a seal around the edge that seems to get stickier with age and 'glues' the light fitting in place.
