help with lights needed

Hi all i own a 89 surf..can anybody tell me if i need to take the head lights out to change the bulbs as mine are not working ..they work on main beam but not dip.i dont think its electrices but just the old bulbs.please help from a confused whirly also any pics would be great to see how they come out?

cheer dude thats a great help i thought it would be something like that once again cheers bro i can now drive without using main beam lol and annoying other drivers hehehe.....like i care really anyway .......
