rear window wiring

My back window was working then after letting it down it wont go back up again , if i swop the red and green wires over that go to the motor it will go up again , the relays click wether i turn the key left or right , when i put the tester on it reads 12v on the green wire when i let the window down ,but the red wire shows nothing even though the relay is clicking , i have taken the relay box out of the side panel and read the meter when turning the key to raise the window with the probe pushed onto the red wire at the relay box so its not a broken wire , any ideas please folkes ?

It's possibly a broken wire in the loom feeding upto the tailgate.
