  • Fuses and lamps etc

Before I start pulling fuses out etc can I quickly check...

    These are not working:

    Radio
    Ignition light (illumination of keyhole)
    Courtesy lights
    Led clock

All stopped working after I changed all my lamps in my switches. The switches are all fine, just the above items.

Do they all belong to one fuse group?

    thanks

Do the dash clocks still illuminate?

Check the fuse marked 'Gauge'. I think it's in the fusebox below the ignition.

I know the radio & clock is on the same fuse so I assume the rest will be too.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Dash clocks are fine, I'll check the fuzzies at lunchtime!

I'd check the fuses aswell as the fuzzies just to be sure.

Pretty sure there is a fuse marked radio - I am forever blowing mine. It is in the box to the right of the drivers footwell.

                  Sorry, you're all wrong!

It was a blue 15a fuse called "DOME" in the engine bay Swapped it with the horn and all OK now.

A visit to uncle Halford on the way home then for a few spares.

                  cheers

                    FYI

The fuse marked HORN also controls the hazard and rear heater switch. There we are then!

Makes sense. When you have a "HORN" it could be looked upon as a hazard in certain situations and in the case of chilly weather, you would have to keep your rear warm.

                            DOME fuse keeps blowing

                            Hiya

The dome fuse keeps blowing in my KZN185, have changed all the bulbs in front, centre and rear courtesy/vanity lights.

I assume that the power to the radio is for the station memory function and likewise the clock.

What else does the dome fuse protect, it is a 15amp which seems quite high powered for 2 x 8w roof lights, 2 x 8w vanity lights and the clock and radio memories (32w / 12 volts = <3amps).

                            Alarm??

                            Any ideas please

                            Cheers

                            Tony
