  • Fuel light is always on!!

    Hello people Merry Christmas!
Had my gen 2 3.0 for about 2 years now and ever since I got it the amber fuel light stays on all the time no matter how much diesel is in the tank. It's not a massive problem but to be honest the light starting to do my head in lol. It's always there in the corner of my eye!!
    Any ideas???

    Thanks Rick

      Ye, as above.

If the guage works ok then just make sure you top up when you hit 1/4 of a tank.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Maybe the float switch in the tank is stuck down.
The electrical connection at the sender on the tank is prone to corrosion.

Is the light on a different sender to the gauge?

No, all on the same plug.

I thought so. The OP doesn't say if the gauge is working OK.

I assumed it has been the past two years.

Me too, that's why I was wondering if there was a different switch. If the gauge is reasonably accurate, I'd remove the lamp.

Lamp out it is then! Gauge works fine so I guess that's the best option and the cheapest! Cheers
