Done a wee experiment earlier with the truck, hadnt been started in over a week and i turned the key and left it for a min or so then cranked it and it fired instantly, when it usually turns over for ages before it fires to a smokey start so i'm guessing someones fitted 11v glow plugs and its taking longer to heat them? Anyways i've orderd some 7v ones from roughtrax lol

Careful with what you order. 7 volt are not the right plug. You may be thinking 1 volt will not make a difference but it could be a big problem if the plug is not the correct length. There's a few 7 volt plugs available and most are a different size.

If you ordered these glow plugs - http://www.roughtrax4x4.com/?doc=16&cid=601&vid=106 - then check the PDF file I linked to and check this glow plug against the dimensions for the GPT212 glow plug. If not the same then do not use it. I suspect the Roughtrax 7 volt glow plug could be a match for the Bosch GPT216.

The 221 and 216 are the same but the 212 is different, i'm confused now lol

221 is the correct plug. You may get away with the 7 volt 216 as it's the same dimensions as a 221. If the Roughtrax glow plug dimensions match the 221 or 226 then even though it may be a 7 volt plug it will fit. If the Roughtrax one matches the 212 then it's the wrong size.

I wonder wher others over there get the LN61 glow plugs. Roughtrax do not seem to cater for them.

Milners have a LN61 glow plug but do check what the voltage, dimensions and the brand are.
