    remota access

Hugo, how do and welcome to the forum,
Firstly if you do break your mirror cover ,I have a spare blue one you can have if you need it??Its not too for from the grey colour.
If I am not mistaken the three wires for the central locking enter the car through the drivers door jamb and end up to the left of your right foot behind that trim panel near the fuse box ,so it is quite easy to fit one of these gadgets to a surf.Got to be truthful and say I am not sure of the colour codes,I cant find them anywhere in the Haynes manual, but it cant bo too hard to fit,Alan

P.S., just noticed its from Bulgaria, might be worth trying to get one from nearer home, just in case

I installed an alarm with remote locking - it wasn't hard I've probably still got my notes here somewhere if you want to go that route.

It's not that difficult (my first time)

i fittied one of these, fairly straight forward, then connect to the central locking by dropping down the C/L relay as Bushwhacker suggested, he also mentions the colour needed,

ed wire with white stripe and silver dots.
        Red wire with yellow stripe.

One is lock the other unlock, but can't remember which is which, it won't harm anything if you wire them back to front when testing the remote though.

the C/L relay is direct;y above the fuse box in the drivers footwell about 5 or 6" out from the side of the car....

more reading if you search for cyclone alarm...

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm going to give this kit a go on ebay. From what I'm seeing about it the boot-pop is only a momentary signal and won't be much good for lowering/raising the rear window. But I'm sure a solution can be found for that

HONEST AL: thanks for the offer, hopefully I won't have to take you up on your kind offer

With a timer to unlatch it?

Actually, just a timer; on for 10 seconds, then off?
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Thanks for the link, ace website, I'm going to be on that for hours That's kinda what I had in mind. Though I do want to look at having the remote both lowering and raising.

Yeah, I was thinking of cheating and basically having something like a 555 timer hijack the up/down button for X number of seconds. At the moment I've not started planning it, I'm not going to get too excited about it until I get the alternator issue resolved.
