Is 2nd Gen 2.4 Auto box loom same as 3.0?

Carrying out a full body swap of 2.4 body onto 3.0 chassis. Both are Auto and the 2.4 body has the wiring loom still in place.

Will the 2.4 Auto boxes wiring loom mate with the gearbox on my 3.0? Are the connectors the same etc.

Can I get away with simply connecting it all back up when the body is mounted and swapping my ecu over if needed? Or do I need the full loom and ecu from the 3.0?

Nope, the shifter plug and A/T temp switch plug is different, I've had to change them when fitting a 2.4 box to a 3.0, but you can swap them quite easily but like I said in other post, some engine plugs and behind dash loom is different, due to ECU having different plugs, and 3.0 has no seperate gearbox ECU.

I think I have to swap the 3.0 engine loom into the 2.4 body anyway so I take it just carry this on to swapping over everything from my truck to the new one and that should cover the gearbox issue as well?

Unless there is an easier way?
