    I have just got a new in car stereo but its alot smaller than the original fitment (single din rather than double din???)will a single din blanking plate or pocket fill the gap and how the hell do i get the old one out?? also what type of harness adapter do i need is it a PC2-17-4 .

    getting the old one out is easy, try a search or look at the bottom of your post. you can fill the other hole with another bit of kit like a cb radio or a new cubby hole from halfords.

    it would help if you tell us what truck you have

      For my 2nd gen Middle dash off:

      Bolts on with short bolts through the sides think it came with a rack (JVC):

      JVC USA site gives 4runner speaker sizes.

      My lower din cubby box was mashed, had a Yaris one around that fitted perfectly.

      Wiring colours

      thinks its a 17-4 like these
