  • Problem with central locking

    Hi has anyone got any ideas about central locking sometimes works sometimes 3 doors sometimes 2 any ideas welcome thanks.

    Check the wiring from the body to the doors, these trucks are quite old now and the constant opening and closing of the doors can sometimes cause a break, with every movement of the door the wiring will be moving as well so sometimes you may have a connection and sometimes not, just a thought.

      In my old range rover (yes sold it for a surf) the motors that open got tired and the factory grease gets hard further making it harder for it to function.

      Interchanging with a good motor would show if its a wiring break or tired motor/mechanism.

        Hello there i just had a problem with mine ...they all unlocked and only the drivers door opened ..
        Took the door card off and the placket sheet .

        There was a plug to the bottom right with a wire that was loose very simple fix

        im just hoping yours is the same
