  • Rear window motor

    Hi All,

Can anyone advised me how to replace the rear window motor when the one fitted has seized and the window is up.

    Thanks

I see no one has replied to your post. Are you sure the motor has seized? If the windows lock button has been pressed (on the drivers door arm rest) then you won't be able to open the tailgate window. I hope it is as simple as that. If not, one of the techys will spot this post and get you out of trouble.

Would check first to see if it really is the motor. From inside remove center carpeted/cloth panel on rear door, it pulls off carefully.
Remove cover under this, you should now be able to get to the motor, check you have power to motor, you can put power straight onto motor to see if its working.
Try a search on here for rear window etc, it has all been covered in depth before and you should find all the info you need to fix it.
