  • Heated wing mirrors?

    Hi everyone,

Just wondered if 3rd Gen surfs are supposed to have heated wing mirrors?

    Cheers,

I've never seen any with them, the electric folding is only an option you don't see on them much either.

But then I only know of one 2nd Gen with heated mirrors as well.

      mornin'

mine has both the folding option and they are heated as well. The heating part comes on with the heated rear window.

It's been like this since it came off the boat from Japan but I don't know if it's a toyota option or the jap owner had it done aftermarket.

Certainly came in handy last winter.

That interesting, I've always assumed there was a seperate switch like most cars.

I'm going to start feeling 3rd Gen wing mirrors in future....

Is it just ssr-g that have them.
I think its the only thing missing off the surf that i could really do with & i suppose it would be hard to get hold of the bits to do mine.
If its not broke don't fix it.

has anyone found heated mirrors that can be retro-fit to the 2nd gen surf? do any of the 4runners or l/c's or equivalent models have the heated mirror option??

                    Si

what wrong with feeling mine - and they fold!!!!

                    Tonupteabag

There is a universal kit where you drop out the glass, fit a heated pad to he back and wire it up as you like. Not sure if it would fit to the back of a surf mirro with the leccy gubbins to move them already being there - anyone tried this??

A m8 of mine has just done his L**D R****R and seems happy - Kit cost him about £60.00 His mirros were manually adjustable
