Quick Question

Hello All
I have a 3rd gen (My 2nd Gen was smashed by uninsured A*** H***).
I have a wire element in the back side windows both sides around the edge.
It is not to do with the rear window dimist.
I can not find any info on it and the link to the wiring diagrams on the site are broken.
Any ideas.

think its for the alarm system if the rear window is smashed ??

It's an aerial for the factory fitted radio/CD/TV unit, doesn't work in this country though.
