Hi all
hopefully a ray of light for those with speedo problems.
Mine died a few months back. I didn't have the flashing OD problem others have reported, but the speedo was dead.
I checked the speed sensor as per the instructions on here and all appeared OK. I checked the speedo itself for burnt out tracks and all 'looked' OK there too.
However having got fed up to the back teeth with the prob I bought an instrument cluster off ebay. True to the guys word it worked fine. The only mistake I made was installing the kmh-mph coverter on he rear of the new cluster which showed me doing 50mph when i knew i was about 70mph. A quick removal sorted that and now all is well.
Now, dash off a quick letter to DC in No10 about dropping the tax on diesel and the world will be put to rights......
