Speedo Swap

Hi all

does anyone know if its possible to swap the speedo gauge (only) from a cable-driven speedo cluster into an electronic cluster?

My electronic one is knack'd for whatever reason and I've got one from ebay but the cluster arrived today and its a cable driven affair.

And the results are just in from the Slovenia panel, who having dismantled the cluster, have returned a vote of ...

..null point!

Is the O/D light on the dash blinking every few seconds when driving? (O/D button must be pressed in by the way)

thanks for your earlier replies.

No, I've none of the other symptoms that others are talking about with the same problems. I also dont seem to have any fault codes when i did the check.

The speedo stopped 2 years back, briefly, but then came back ok. Then 6 months back it packed in again full-time.

I checked the sensor as per and all seems okm but still no joy.
