does any one no if a mr2 passenger window motor will fit tailgate,the motor i have at the min is working but not moving the window, searched the thereads in looks like it has stripped the teeth off

I'm sure the motor fits but not sure about the window mechanism is the same ..

What teeth are stripped? And the MR2 motor will definitely fit.

read on a thread about teeth on the motor wearing off,havnt had the motor off yet ran out of time today,when a turn key in back door i can here the motor working but window not moving, had to pull it up n push it back down,got everything taken off to get at motor but couldnt see how to take it off,any tips be good

The motor is held on with 3 bolts that you get from behind the motor. Fiddly but doable. A 1/4 drive ratchet and an 8mm socket makes the job easier.

There's a plastic sprocket and worm drive inside the motor that could wear out, but the rubber coupling that it's attached too would shear off first, thats what it's designed to do.

Practically all '90s Toyota window motors will fit the Surf.

Yes, the driver's side fits too, just turn it 180 degrees.

window motor arrived today £15.50 including delivery,removed old motor fitted new one greased runners back together 45 mins later workin spot on
