  • Help Lost power windows and locking!

I duly set about sorting out the problems with the wiring harness between the drivers door and body this evening and now have a major problem on my hands!
As I was pulling out the harness the rear passenger window rolled down, but i did not think muck of it because I knew I would probably find broken wires in the harness, and I did, 5 of them,so I soldered them up and thought the job was a good'en!
Now I've got no windows and the central locking don't work
Some kind soul tell me what I've done and help me out!
    Thanks
    Mark

You've either wired it up wrong or broke more wires.

      Thanks Albanach for the reply

      Seek and ye shall find!!

Found the answer on the forum 30 amp pink fuse in drivers footwell. Bodged it up with a blade fuse and everything works spot on!
Guess it must of shorted out when I pulled the loom.
      Thanks again

Bodging electrics is a recipe for disaster!

          Yes I agree!
Prehaps I should have worded that differently. What I ment to say was I've bridged it with an alternative 30 Amp fused link. Quite keen to get my windows shut after todays torential rain and hail stones.
