  • Front diff drain & filler nuts?

Ive done a search but can't seem to find the answer so im going to have to bug you all.

Changed rear & centre diff oil today "no probs" but have come to do the front & im not sure where the drain & refill nuts are.

Have taken the bash plate off & had a look but not too sure because the other two had a standard socket nut, is the front an alan key type nut or am i looking in the wrong place.

    Cheers si.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Should be the same on the front diff.
Hex nut underneath to drain, same size hex nut on the front to fill.

    p.s. Technical/electrical section???

Drain is left side near front just in front of the support bracket and fill is front centre as far as I can tell from the EPC. Fill plug may be a hex drive. Hard to tell from diagram.

They are both hex bits, drain is 12mm & refill is 10mm "strange", why not make them both the same size..

          Thanks nev.

I just did all mine a couple of weeks ago, and for the centre diff I used ( rightly or wrongly) GL5 SAE 75-90 comma gear oil which I got from a motor factor.
Maybe someone clever will pop in to tell us that I should have used something else, lets wait and see.

Check the appropriate PDF file in this link. It says SAE 75W/90
