interior rear passenger light

having searched the forum for information i know about pitted contacts,door switches and led replacement but not about how to get the cover off and get the bulbs out i've tried forcing the cover off with a screwdriver but it feels like it's going to break, is there a knack to it known only to surf afficianados?

The light in the boot has a slot in the side by the switch for a large flat bladed screw driver. poke it in from the side by the switch and lever off. the passenger light has the same but on the opposite side to the switch. On the front I do the same but lever both sides.
