  • back door...

Included with my SSR-X limited was a Totoya manual with very heavy japlish inside. I couldn't work out if this the back door HAS to be opened by dropping the rear windscreen all the way down and then using the catches inside to open the door? Is this the only way? I suppose the glass should always be in when opening it, right?

The glass has to be all the way down in order to lift the lock button before lifting the handle to open the tailgate

I've never come across bad English in Toyota manuals - they've always had excellent English. Was it a 3rd party manual? Just interested.

            It's a Japanese/New Zealand manual, part number FRO309.

Page 19. Operating Doors And Windows

Keys for vehicle are made to only fit your vehicle and are extremely difficult to copy, with locks being made from very strong material and makes it very hard to get into vehicle once it has been locked, making it difficult for someone to steal. Care must be taken not to loose or lock keys in vehicle making entering vehicle near impossible even for the AA.

Just amusing the way it's written. So specific. It also spells things like 'break' as 'brake' and suchlike.

              That's assuming it's a 2nd Gen.

Would help if OP filled in his profile with truck details.

Good to know. Are the windows made of strong material too?
