overdrive light flashing

whilst driving my 2.4 auto the dash o/d off light has started flickering whilst it drives normally its cracking me up. before i go checking wires ect. i would appriciate any advice as to where to start, thanks

Could try pressing the switch a few times, just see if it's sticking, that's the first thing I'd try with it before going into it any deeper.

check the atf levels and condition.it will probably be low so its just as well to change the fluid

thanks 4 the welcome, ive enjoyed reading banter 4 months, however since posting ive found many a post the same and soon realised my speedo had been playing up but hadnt noticed cos got a new sat nav which keeps tellin me im speeding so stopped looking at it, then i found out how to switch the warning off. ill just ignore flash now till i do my cambelt n shit. onto me 2nd surf already luv em
