  • 3.0lt starting Problem !!!

The vehicle was working fine before christmas (no issues), tried to start it over the holiday and although it cranks over it wont actually fire. upon inspection the glow plug lights do not come on and it seems as there is no fuel getting to the injectors. I have checked all the fuses and relays which appear to be ok, is there a test proceedure or wiring diagram for checking the glow plugs and the fuel cut off solenoid etc.

Could this problem be related to Immobiliser, ECU, Dodgy Wiring, Inertia switch or some other random thing on the vehicle.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the glow plug light on the dash only lights up for a second. You then need to wait for up to about 10 seconds for the click of the relay as thats when the plugs are up to temp.As charvell says change fuel filter and also does the fuel primer on top of the filter get hard when pumped several times

As those two items are often used when a immobiliser is fitted providing you have checked all the fuses I would start there.
