  • timing belt warning

    Just a quick question , i have read on our site that the timing belt warning light comes on at 100,000 miles ,mine is on and the car has only done 94,000 i was wondering if there was a time limit ie after a few years or is it only to do with milage,or is there some other reason why it is illuminated, any help would be greatfully recieved, it is a 1993 3.0ltr hilux
    anyone seen the plot

    It's not worth the risk or debate. Buy the kit from Roughtrax and change it. It's a one hour job.

      1000,000 Ks not miles. Change it and the other components and seals unless you are sure it's been done recently.

        100% correct ,will do the belt and the tensioners,tomorrow[monday] better to be safe than sorry,just bought the surf yesterday, thanks for the advice
