  • Hi all, a newby question about warning lights

    Hi all

    Bit of background

I've had my 3.0L Surf for about 4-5 years doing everything from hundreds of miles a day on motorways at mad speeds to towing track cars around and off road

Its as tough as old boots, total bill for all those years is about £150 for mot bits. I've never had a motor like it

Sad to say I'm here now because I have a problem

On tickover if I put any kind of heavy drain on the electrics sort of by having lights on and heater blower...all four warning lights come on. the fuel filter, oil temp, battery an timing belt

If I rev it up to 1,000rpm they go out most of the time unless its only just been started

    How it started doing it
It was after heavy rain, an thats about it apart from I've checked all the earths I can see under the bonnet an battery terminals. The batteries have loads of power and its been doing it for days so I can only guess the alternator is charging them ok, it done about 400 miles in the last week mostly in the dark so if it wasn't charging surely they would have run out of grunt by now

    LASTLY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    cheers

    Jon
