Under drivers seat

Can anybody tell me what the black box with wires coming out of it,under the drivers seat is?

Sorry,did a search and found out what it is.

It's the receiver for the factory fitted remote central locking. The problem is they never seem to ship the key fobs with the vehicles so it's pretty useless really.

You're supposed to search first, then ask if you can't find what you're looking for. All you've done there is ####ed me off. Would have been better to say thanks for the info, rather than what you said.

What's not nice about it? The OP asked a question, I took the time to reply, then the OP said not to bother he'd used the search function and found out the answer. Not even a thank you! In my book, that's not very nice.

If you look at the times of both posts, you would see that they were a minute apart so while you were taking time to answer he was posting the "I used the search button" which has become an argument starter on more than one occasion.It should be stipulated to all newbies that the search button is first port of call before they ask what the f%$"ing red button does, and there will be less bitching a bickering like old biddies on here as I have also run the gauntlet of the search button pish and it ####ed me right off!!
