Why not? Are Maplins anti Scots?

Maybe the BO is more noticable because I have to speak to them? The Maplins BO thing has been discussed eother here or TA before.

Shirley's oldest Daughter works in a supermarket, they keep air freshner at the tills to spray after the more pungent customers leave...

The question is 'Are Scots anti Maplins ?'

The Maplins worker posted what he thought was some helpful info and got told he stinks of BO.....

BTW I think on TA it's more of a cliche about nerds being sweaty greasy spotty types. I don't think it's to be taken literally. Most of what is posted there is wrong anyway so....

I worked in a supermarket for 4 years whilst at college and can safely say it wasn't BO that was the problem.. it was the ones from the local nuthouse that reeked of pxxs that made me uncomfortable. (especially when they pulled out a pocket hanky with bits of 'stuff' on it with their coins wrapped inside it.... nice!

And his comeback was that they were fine but the customers (that's us) stink. Don't see anyone having a go at him

Another 3 page thread that doesn't help the OP.

                      A radio hams reply:

I am looking to put a DAB radio in my Surf instead of the goddamawfuldeafheapofpoo that is in there at the moment. A 5/8 wave antenna for the DAB frequency would be 905mm long (for the 3/4 wave section) with 181mm of wire loosely wound near the base to make up the matching section (i.e. more than a wires diameter between turns). The whole thing would be no more than 1M in length, work superbly for DAB and could be used successfully for AM/FM without any problems.

I use the above homebrew antenna for DAB reception on my Teac tuner.
                      It's only a hobby!

Hello again, one 'AM suggested incorporating an aerial into a roof rack beam, as they are a little over 1M long.

                        Might be worth a try?

                        peace
