    hey there, im wanting to fit an alarm to my hilx, but unsure where to start when it comes to connecting to the central locking, can anyone offer any help, i need to know were the wires are easy to access, colours and if the locks are negativly triggered

    its a 2.5td "K" plate 4runner

    I imagine you've probably got it sorted by now - but here's a little info for future ref:
    I believe the OEM central locking units were located under the drivers seat. The connector should be there - it looks like this:

    Sorry I cant remember what the switching arrangement/polarity was. I used a 12v globe and wires to discover it. If I remember correctly there's also 12v power in that connector, but only during IGN on.
