new batteries

MT Department at work quoted £68 each for new batteries, I am skint and this is far too much, especially as I have shelled out for other stuff on the truck. any advice very much appreciated.

Buy a pair off a breaker ?

Best price I got was just over £100 from local Toyota dealer.

You can make do with a single battery for the time being if you are strapped. Just make sure you insulate the unused battery connectors extremely well.

Or alternatively, make sure your moby has two nines entered so you only need to hit one more when the truck welds itself / bursts into flames

Best you leave one duff battery in there with just the positive connected, and push the neg down the side of it out of the way. That way the pos cable cant possibly go anywhere.
