toyota 16007 radio

hi there all been a while since i've been on here after a wrote the old surf off, but got a gen 3 this week:stooge .
the surf has a toyota radio in it, its a 16007 model. been trying to figure the thing out but wondering if anyone knows where i can get my hands on a manual that isn't in japanese, also if anyone knows what fitment the tv aerial is into the unit that would be great as there's a few to choose from and i don't want to rip the car apart to fid out i bought the wrong one lol

any help would be brill

i have been told that the tv will not work because the receiver works across a different band because it is from japan, has anyone else heard this?

Correct. There is a company that can convert them to work over here, but for what they charge to do it you may as well buy a brand new after market in-dash DVD/radio off ebay, which will have more functions too.

dam i thought that might be the case. cheers for the advice, ive got my eye on a nice bose bv9055 head unit that has touch screen and dvd, something for after christmas i think.
