  • Rear Demister connection Snapped.

    Hi all newbie arrived.

Love my new surf (LN130 1992) but have had a few teething problems. Only to be expected I suppose who sells a good car if it is trouble free?

Anyway, the demister has not worked since I got the car and I finally got round to looking at it yesterday hoping for a loose connection. No such luck, the metal connecter that goes into the window and attched to the wire has sheared and although I tried to solder it back on there is nothing on the window for it to stick to.

Do I have to find a new rear window? Or does someone have an alternatve that has been succesful

Thanks for any and all help.

You can buy kits for this or

You can then stick the connector back making contact with the paint
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

Thanks for this, I'll give it a try and report back.

Keeping up the positives we got through the MOT yesterday with just a new set of front pads.

Ask Breakdowntruck (Andy) if he still has one.
(was recently selling two of them.)
