over the past few weeks i have been veiwing lots of surfs,a few days ago i came across a runner, the switch in the cab that controls the rear window does not work but yet the key works fine from the back door,the guy there said that he has never had a runner or a surf where this switch does work... is this a common fault ...... could it just be a fauty relay or is there more to it..........

BULL this is not a common fault. did you try the button that locks the windows on the drivers door as this will cause this problem

If he's NEVER had one that works he most sell some right naff motors. Also the wire to the switch can be quite short/tight (if its in the centre console) and if someone has tried to lift the switch it may have pulled the plug off.
