Straight from the KZN185 book, no argments, the facts!
Fools.
The Afterglow is the slope on T2. the level line is 'power applied' time. T1 is the light on the dash as you say. That bit of the handbook (as on Matt F's site) is a bit vague to say the least. Lost in translation perhaps?Last edited by Apache; 4 September 2008, 15:06.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

Ah OK. I'm just not that familiar with the terms.
From the graph, power is applied for 120 secs, then there is the slope where the plugs are cooling (though in reality, they wont cool very much as they're heated by combustion then).
The plug volts is moot in this discussion really - the important thing is that they are powered for 120 secs if temp < X. therefore, as some suspected, there is no point at all in repeated ign key switching - unless there is some weird stuff going on before the engine starts. Does the Surf dump power to the plugs when the start motor is spinning? Oh, why am I asking, I'll put an avo on it!!!Cutting steps in the roof of the world

Glow plugs
Thanks for the chart Apache, I had 85% of the story and this makes it complete.
I managed to find out the resistance of a new glow plug for the 3ltr and it is
1 ohm, if I knew this value before I bought a new set of plugs a few months ago I could have saved a bit of money as the old ones turned out to be OK.
Thanks again.
Regards.

Sorry Tonyn
1000 pardons I screwed up on this one big time.
Sorry about that, can you bring yourself to excuse and pardon a mere Scotsman.
If you are ever in my neck of the woods (Aberdeenshire New Byth near Turriff) look me up as I owe you a cool one.
If you ask for my address when you are around here I will let you have it
Nice chart though.
Regards

I read an old subscription and it said that perhaps you can supply TJM Full Frontal bull bars.
The number I think was T13 or 15.
If so can you give me a price.
Thanks.
